Plan For Your Grand Daughter

What kind of life would you like your granddaughter to live? She’ll make her own, of course, but I’ve found thinking about it is interesting and helps me prioritize what I do.

As for mine, I hope she’s wise, and kind. I hope her youthful spirit stays alive and isn’t crushed (at least for too long or too far) by the world. I hope she knows how to resurrect it when it does. I hope she skips through shopping centers. I hope she’s faithful and optimistic. I hope she trusts herself and the gifts and messages she came in with. I hope she sees all her struggles and suffering through the eyes of a powerful and loving God, and that she doesn’t struggle for too long, before experiencing the flicker of curiosity, that leads to a love of learning and peace of understanding.
