Play with What You Have
Take a good look at everything in your life. Your surroundings, experiences (external and internal), what you’re struggling with, what you’re growing through, what you have, what you wish you had. Now, close your eyes, put your hand on your heart. This is your present.
A couple of weeks ago, I got caught in comparison quicksand again. I could feel myself becoming disheartened, drowning in disappointment. One night, I started scrolling through old social media posts and was reminded of a powerful lesson: It’s not just the ability to create specific results I value, it's the experience of being fully present in the process of creation.
When things don’t work out like we wanted, it’s easy to get stuck feeling like a failure. We get so lost in the fantasy of how we think things should be, we miss the beauty of the reality we’re creating.
Who cares if it’s not what you thought? Play with what you have.
The illusion is there is one right path, and if you get “off it” (i.e. fail to create exactly the picture you saw in your head) then you’ve failed. The Truth is, there are trillions of possible scenarios. What’s more important is that you are fully present with what is currently alive within and around you. How deeply can you sink into the present moment and be with what’s really going on within and all around you?
There’s no one right path, you ARE the path.
Radical acceptance of all that is clears your vision and allows you to work with what’s here.
