I Refuse to Rush

I’m determined to rest in the beauty of the present moment. I'm not wishing time away or waiting for my life to start, I am deeply committed to soaking up the beauty of this season: being single, living alone, working in the world, learning and growing, every day.

I refuse to rush.

Life doesn't begin when you start your dream career or have your first child, it's in the in-between pieces that lead you to where you want to be: the side jobs, the temporary homes, the sweet sense of freedom you're going to miss one day.

So, while I'm in transit, the beautiful space between where I am and where I want to be, I won’t lose myself in wanting or waiting, I’ll revel in the joy of blooming where I’m planted.

That's when I know I have arrived.
